JULY

 

          The Hammonton Arts Center is pleased to announce that Antonina Bellesorte, Director of “Pinetina”, Center for Italian Arts & Culture will be holding “An Italian Language Summer Camp” for children, ages 4 and up and teens at the HAC gallery. The five week summer language classes will begin July 7 and conclude August 7, 2008. Classes will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; from 2 to 4 PM. Pinetina’s language instruction emphasizes not only vocabulary and conversational phrases, but also the cultural aspects of Italy. Class size is limited to 10 students. Classes for Adults
and Kids at HAC

          The Hammonton Arts Center, 107 Bellevue Avenue continues to offer the following art classes for children and adults. Fee for 6 sessions of classes are members, $90, non- members, $95, and children, 6 to 12, $80. Supplies are not included.

Art For Children 6 to 12 Years

Learning diverse art techniques in a fun way.

Cartooning For Teens

Mondays from 11:30 AM to 1 PM
Learn the art of cartoon drawing.

Drawing, Painting For Adults & Teens  Beginners & Advanced
Instructor: Betty Domenico 609-561-4212
Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 PM
Beginning students learn how to draw line, perspective,
value and move to color by using pastels.

Oil Painting
Instructor: Paige Roberts 609-287-3122
Wednesdays from 5 to 7 PM
Students at all levels can have fun while learning key information that will expand their abilities. Emphasis will be placed o exploring their individual paths while they gain confidence in their abilities.

Watercolor Painting for Adults & Teens
Beginner & Advanced
Instructor: Annette Rinker 856-768-0954
Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 PM 
Annette is an accomplished artist who has taught in area public schools.

Advanced Digital Photography
Instructor: Mike Burke 609-217-1321
First & Third Sundays 6:30 to 8 PM
Classes will cover the following areas of interest: Advanced lighting techniques, full manual operations, existing light techniques, studio lighting and PhotoShop. Participants need a SLR camera (film or digital). Materials are not included.

Art Exhibit At
Rocco's Town House

          Hammonton Arts Center, Vice President, Sam Moffa poses with Dave Ruberton of Rocco's Town House at the HAC's opening exhibit at Rocco's Town House.The photography exhibit will be on display throughout the summer and maybe viewed during restaurant business hours. The Hammonton Arts Center exhibits throughout the community as well as at it's Gallery at 107 Bellevue Avenue. Visit the HAC at www.hammontonartscenter.org.  

MaryAnn Cannon was awarded a first place award in painting for her oil painting "Bogarts" at the Eleventh Annual Juried Arts Exhibit at the Hammonton Arts Center.
CD Ziegler received the award for Best in Show at the Eleventh Annual May Juried Arts Exhibit for her oil painting "Interrupted View"
The NJ Chapter the American Artists Professional League presented a special award and plaque for traditional realism in art to Jo Langley Rambo for her oil painting, "Sprouted" at the Eleventh Annual May Juried Arts Exhibit at the Hammonton Arts Center gallery.
