Birthday Parties for Kids
The Hammonton Arts Center is putting the art
in party by offering unique and exciting birthday parties for children
ages 7 and up. The parties are offered on Saturday and Sunday afternoons
and are limited to 10 participating children including the birthday
child.
The two hour Birthday
Party Package Includes: A tour of the gallery’s art with a question and
answer period appropriate to age. One hands-on art or craft project,
supervised by an arts and crafts instructor, that the child can take
home, and time for refreshments as well as gift opening.

Art Classes for Kids
Do you have cabin fever, then why not come to the
Hammonton Arts Center and take a class?
The center offers a variety of classes and times
in drawing, painting and more for children 6yrs through adult, after
school drawing and cartooning for children, drawing real life animals
for children, art exploration, sculpture, stained glass, photography,
and life drawing sessions for adults. Classes begin in mid-January and
run for six weeks. Days and times for classes vary by instructor.
"Wax Batik" Workshop
An Afternoon Workshop on “Wax Batik” is being offered at the Hammonton
Arts Center,219 Bellevue Avenue. The workshop will be conducted by
Ellenora Herrschaft,Wednesday, February 3,2010 from 2 to 7 PM.
Members $60, Non Members $75.
Ellenore has been teaching the ancient art of Wax Batik on both silk and
paper for many years. This workshop will instruct on the techniques for
working on paper. Create a lovely piece of art for your home. All
supplies provided. No art skills required. Beginners are welcome.

Call for Entries “Mid Winter
Exhibit”
The Hammonton Arts Center, located at 219 Bellevue
Avenue will sponsor a “Mid Winter Exhibit” of fine art. Work entered in
the exhibit does not have to have a winter theme. The exhibit will take
place from January 5,2010 to January 24,2010. The exhibit is open to all
artists who would like to exhibit or sell their art. Categories include
painting, mixed media, 3 dimensional works and photography. Drop off
dates are Wednesday, December 30,2009 and Saturday, January 2,2010
during gallery hours. Fees per entry are $3.00 for HAC members, $5.00

Winners “Winter Coloring Contest”
The Hammonton Arts
Center, 219 Bellevue Avenue is pleased to announce the winners of their
“Winter Coloring Contest”. Over three hundred third and fourth grade
students from St. Joseph’s Elementary School, Folsom Elementary School
and the Warren E. Sooy School participated in this year’s contest. The
following winners were presented awards on Friday December 4,2009 at the
Arts on the Avenue Event.
